High Road Balloons have been running a competition to win a flight in a hot air balloon with us. Our competition has been raising money for Us in a Bus a charity who work with adults with severe, profound and multiple Learning Disabilities. We have now drawn the winning ticket which will go to S.V Wilson of Studley, Warwickshire.
This month we have raised a total of £100 for Us in a Bus. £100 does not seem like an awful lot however it will certainly pay for 2 days sessional work or some new equipment.
Us in a Bus are very pleased to have money donated as they are a 'not for profit' charity they somewhat rely upon the kindness of people and companies doing things to help, Janet Gurney – Chief Executive at Us in a Bus comments,
“it’s help like this that literally helps to keep Us in a Bus on the
road. We’re in the business of helping people with profound learning
disabilities have fun, so it’s lovely to get support from another organisation
which focuses on helping others have fun too – you in a balloon helping Us in a
Bus! We hope the winner of your competition has a great time on her balloon
flight – and many thanks to all your other ticket-buyers who’ve helped raise
this money.”
We will be taking the winner Sue Wilson for a lovely balloon flight on Saturday 18th October (weather permitting).
